Pirates! Scans of all sorts of goodly resources. Anyway, can't stop, off to ride the monk.
  • Anyway, can't stop, off to ride the monk. Get off me!
  • That Stede Bonnet is one tough-lookin' dude.
  • Arrgh, sure there be nothin' better than brandishin' a flail from atop me favorite monk.
  • I like the old typeset for the lower case 's'.
  • Ah, ha!! Here's the Kidd's corpse. Hit the punishments button, and it says so!
  • Why the elaborate metal banding? Was he gonna decompose his way outta there?
  • Lara: That is known as gibbeting and it is totally ewww. It and being hung in chains meant that after you starved/dehydrated to death, you'd be on display. For MONTHS. I think they showed some at the beginning of Pirates of the Carribean.
  • InsolentChimp: it's called a "long s" and there are actually typesetting and writing rules for where to use it or not. :) I thought it was only for use in the middle of words, but your link clearly shows it being used in the words "some," "same," and "since," so maybe it's just that it wasn't to be used at the end of a word. It looks pretty cool written out, too.
