I blame those motherfuckers in Accounts Receivable.
-
I meant Accounts Payable! Fuck, I'm so crippled with grief I can't think straight.
-
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
-
This is a huge loss. "Mourn ya 'till I join ya, brutha!"
-
*pours out a bottle of toner for dead dawg*
-
I suspect a Tupac 4eva saga a-brewin'. Tupac Atoner, that is.
-
The plot is thick: It wuz always bout tha numbaz. Is Irving Weinbaum duplicitous? Oh, and apparently Midstate Office Supply has its own website. Keep up with the saga.
-
Passersby were amazed by the unusually large amounts of blood, I understand.
-
A big shoutout to mah disciples at Midstate an' on tha outside. Yo, when Cheryl first aks me to upgrade tha Midstate websizite, I said hell no. That wack Internet shit foe straight-up losers. Computahz be foe numbah-krunchin', not foe lookin' up no Fonzie trivia or frontin' like a goddamn wizard on some kinda elfquest. Werd.

I've always found the Herbert Kornfeld bit sort of like performance art: usually much more interesting in conception than in execution.

I last looked at the Onion a few years ago. At the time, I felt that there were some marginally funny headlines for articles that were not funny at all. In fact, the articles seemed to have been barely even trying to be funny. They were just filler for the headlines. Glancing around again now, I can't say that my view has really changed.

I Am An Accounts Receivable Supervisor! And I am pissed. drunk, that is.
-
OK, I've seen this on three websites now and I gotta say, I just don't get this. I mean, "stereotypical white guy in stereotypical black gangsta situation." That's really the joke? I mean, I saw this way back in 1999 with Office Space and it was way funnier then.
-
Yeah, except The Onion actually made the joke back in 1997
-
The Onion's content is hit and miss, but every now and then they get it just right and come out with a new classic. Such as in this case. I think it's expecting a little too much to get pissed if a batter doesn't hit it out of the park every time he steps up to the plate.
-
This one is beautiful in its perfection.
-
I find myself only reading the AV club these days. I like that they killed off Kornfeld, though. It reminds me of the Herman T. Zweible saga from about 8 years ago, when their "publisher" went on the lam with a flying robot, and months of hijinks ensued. Seems to me that the Onion really shines when their jokes spin out from potshot satire to parallel universe absurdism.

Isn't it fun to charter an accountant And sail the wide accountat-sea?
-
man, this could push me back on the Sharpies .
-
the post 9/11 issue is surely the peak of brave comic writing for more reasons than I could ever possibly think of
-
No kidding. "American Life Turns Into Bad Jerry Bruckheimer Movie" is about the best headline ever.
-
Not Kornfeld! I hate the muthafuckers in my Accounts Payable department, too!
