well, I'm no entomologyst, but for a start I'd guess that the one that still had a head was the female. But pre-coitis, as it were, I'm just going by that knobby thing sticking out between it's hoppy little rear legs. Again, not that I'm staring.

At first glance, yeah, that "knobby thing" looks male, but I think it's just an (intentionally?)awkward positioning of the rear left leg.
