Poland beat Croatia
on penalties recently to take the world soccer title. The Catholic priests' world soccer title, that is.
Back in December, it was said the Vatican was about to launch its own national team. Pope JP2 was quite a player in his youth. Alas, it seems the story was a joke. But Liechtenstein and even San Marino have national sides. The San Marinese shocked the Germans last year, holding them to a mere 13-0 win.
-
Obviously the influence of JP2 from beyond the grave. Santo subito, I say. And San Marino were very unlucky to lose to the Irish a couple of weeks ago, and, if memory serves, have scored the fastest goal in international history. Against England, no less.

Got in plenty of crosses, but was transubstantiated at half time, etc, etc
-
Celebration in the changing rooms, eh?
-
A little more on the Clericus Cup, with a bit of gratuitous Caddy bashing thrown in.
