Your favourite band has teh ghey.
In "this Internet Age of MP3 piracy", homosexuality invades family life through popular music. Parents: make sure your children only listen to these safe bands, lest they become damned for eternity.
Brought to you by lovegodsway.org. Sway, love god, sway!
Please note that you are encouraged to send names of bands that are gay or "propogating a gay message" to the email address on that page. Lessee: 6000 monkeys, 3 emails each...

Frank Sinatra? Frank freakin' Sinatra? And why is there an asterisk next to Boy George, but no footnote? And I can't describe how the random capitalization of some Nouns and not others makes my blood boil.
-
Wait. The Village People are GAY???!!! Damn, I didn't see that one coming.
-
Grand, fish tick! Grand! The list was worth it for a few notables: Morrissey(?questionable?) Ted Nugent (loincloth) Elton John(really gay) And please, do not miss C.H.O.P.S. CHANGING HOMOSEXUALS into ORDINARY PEOPLE Follow me and together we'll C.H.O.P.S away the Gay!! *pulls out axe*
-
Hey guys, settle down. It's a joke.
-
Aw, is it? please tell me it's true. I want to nominate Cliff Richard. Please please let it be true!
-
Wikipedia seems unclear on the truthiness.
-
Sorry- I missed this on MeFi earlier.
-
On the "Gay Bands" list: Eminmen Freudian slip?
-
They've totally ignored the world of classical music. What about the Limp-wristed Opera Company of Intercourse, PA's landmark joint recording with Gaylord Bender and his All-Poof Orchetra, of Britten's "St. Liberace Among the Sodomites?"
-
Not to mention G&S: "I polished up that handle so carefullee That now I am the Ruler of the Queen's Navee!" Blatant.
-
Elton John is really gay?!? On a scale of one to ten, I thought he scores a Rufus Wainwright. Speaking of whom -- Rufus Wainwright is gay? Don't anyone tell them that Cyndi Lauper was on Queer as Folk. It'll be our little thing.
-
I love it how when they're in their prayer circles, they make sure to go guy-girl-guy-girl, so as not to catch the ghey. Wonder what their stand on ass-slappery in football is...
-
"Suffering is one very long moment. We cannot divide it by seasons. We can only record its moods, and chronicle their return. With us time itself does not progress. It revolves. It seems to circle round one centre of pain." --Oscar Wilde (reformed homosexual) Reformed homosexual? When did this happen? Just because he loved his wife in his own messed up way doesn't mean he wasn't gay... Or was it one of those post-mortem conversions like the Mormons do? Allright, I'll stop now.
-
Aaaighh!
-
Where does Stryper stand in all of this? Because they are, like, teh ghey!
-
On the "Gay Bands" list: Eminmen Freudian slip? Good eye, PA. I didn't even notice that.
-
*hums along to an old Harry Bellefonte recorde
-
I read about this Donnie Davies guy earlier today - not sure whether he's taking the piss. He has a song/video called The Bible Says (God Hates Fags) that's been removed from MySpace, YouTube, and Google Video in a rather rapid sequence of censorship. It's difficult to tell if the song is a parody or just hateful shite. It's still viewable here if you want to make up your own mind.
-
It's difficult to tell if the song is a parody or just hateful shite. It's a parody. Not a very good one, but he hits most of the "talking points" of the religious right (ie. sexuality is a choice, "it's in the bible...", etc) and emphasizes a hateful god through repetition. And, if the line "to get into heaven there's no back door" doesn't expose the tongue-in-cheek attitude here, not much more about the song will.
-
That "Ted Nugent (loincloth)" line is pretty freaking funny.
-
TUM, fish tick: Opera is full of t3h g4y. If your child is listening to opera, they have already caught Gay and must be sent to New York or San Francisco or somewhere ungodly like that before they form a band and start contaminating others.
-
I can't help but think of this awesome movie, which I re-watched recently for the first time in a while.
-
I have just sent along the names of every obscure regional, national and international musical group I can think of because really, aren't all musicians teh ghey? Think about it. Music is just so... so... musical. There, I've said it. *flounces off to cross-dress while listening to Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen, a gay group if ever there was one*
-
When I was a teen and a big Prince fan, people used to mock me for liking him because he was gay. Instead of countering that by asking how what a performer does with his penis affects the music, I instead would just tick off some names...Sheila E, Susannah Melvoin, Kim Basinger, Susannah Hoffs, Camille, Sheena Easton...and then tell them if that is what being gay will get me, then I will declare my gayness right then and there.* *While this strategy was largely successful, there was the one time I miscalculated and wound up playing the rusty trombone for the better part of an hour.

OK, this is from PA's link, but it's totally tagworthy. Monkeyfilter: The multisexual jamboree of Alcina's magic garden

To me, Cherubino's not so gender-bending, trouser role notwithstanding. But the opening of Rosenkavelier with the Marschallin and she-male Octavian frolicking in bed, that one looks tribadic as all get-out. Takes much greater suspension of disbelief than I can summon after only an opening prelude to see it any other way than two grinding ladies. This had to be intentional on Strauss' part.
-
Kim Basinger is gay? Dang.
-
Just makes the fantasy that much hawter, pete.
-
1. Put Oasis on it 2. Film the results 3. Profit!
-
hmm...the dresden dolls topped their 'safe' list....interesting my buddy prince poppycock just opened for them here in L.A.....shhhhhh...he might be, but only his hairdresser knows for sure...
-
Any list of 'dangerous' bands that doesn't include Marilyn Manson has to be fake. They all still freak out about him. On top of that, Evanescence? Ewww. Nothing screams 'I shop at Hot Topic' like that.
-
I always thought that the life of Herculine Barbin would make a great opera.
-
What, no t.A.t.U?
-
From the list: George Michael (texan) Thanks for warning me of George Michael being a texan..
-
Yeah, his Texas drawl always puts me off.
-
I didn't know Cole Porter had a gay band.
-
Yeah, all their onges were homophonic.
-
And they didn't have a preview button, either.
-
Only two things come from Texas.

Wouldn't 'ya know, this thread made the Fort Collins Weekly. I came across this guy and his Love God’s Way Ministries through a post on monkeyfilter.com, a site that invites users to link to freaky, funny or puzzling Web sites. Freaky, funny or puzzling you say? *looks at petebest*
