Timelapse of the 2006 Reno Hot Air Balloon Race
  • That's very cool; kinda reminiscent of seeds leaving a dandelion.
  • What goes up must come down.
  • I'm curious about the fact the time lapse was shot in 16:9 aspect ratio. Certainly that can't be the natural resolution of the camera. (Wondering if letterbox is getting overused these days)
  • Cool link! I loved the giant bald eagle who coulden't get off of the ground.
  • I liked it, but it seemed like more of a float-around than a race.
  • I don't get it. In my one and only time in a hot air balloon, we went for miles and miles, wherever the wind blew us. These people seem to be going in circles or going nowhere. Was there a wind whirlpool that day?
  • Simple: you go up, let the Earth turn a bit, and when you come down you're somewhere else.
  • What happens when balloons collide? Seems pretty crowded out there...
  • so pretty!
