Curious George. Has anyone else tried to post a comment to tracy's admin blog recently and not been able to. I tried to do so on the new thread regarding jb's MoFi post. I got a window for posting a comment, but when I tried, got a message that I couldn't post without logging in. But, there didn't be any way to actually do that. So, went back to the eeked thread and tried to add a whining comment, but the thread is closed. *cries*
  • have you done something to anger the tracicle?
  • She just likes to see me spin in the wind;)
  • Hi path- I suspect it may be related to the blog's change back to the earlier kiwifruit setup, which initially gave login troubles. I imagine she'll have it fixed before long. *clench*
  • Why does the eeked thread still have a "Post comment" box?
  • I've tried for the past several days to post on Tracy's blog to no avail. Well not exactly, a couple of times I got error messages only to find later that they had posted but since then- nada. I haven't tried today though. I was able to login successfully in the cases I just described so maybe I'm the victim of another problem. Good luck to you.

  • what the ...? I only pressed submit once!?! My problems are following me
  • Some of you people are tainted!
  • I have turned off the requirement to log in and added a Captcha box. You can still log in to comment and avoid the captcha window, or comment without logging in and use the captcha. The spam catcher is still turned on and some comments may require moderation before they appear. This probably would have been best over email. When I change Wordpress themes, some themes don't have a User Login link on the sidebar; some do. The last theme didn't so I had manually added one that I thought was obvious, titled "Log in here to comment". The new theme has a login link at the very bottom as well.
  • I haven't been able to comment in tricycle's blog for months. Oh, woe is me, and all that.
  • Some of you people are tainted! *checks taint* *finds Skrik there*
  • *mind reels from mct's image*
  • Does this mean we can start a new Daisy May thread? *mind reels*
  • *begins turning crank in attempt to tidy up all the threads spewing from the spinning reels
  • While we're speaking on the blog, am I totally missing the link where I could change my password to something I can remember? I don't post there often, and that's partly why.
  • Have you tried the "Lost your password?" link on the login page? I think when you're logged in, you can click on your profile and change it there too.
  • In ither words: Log in with your forgotten password, then you can change it to something you haven't yet forgotten. Yeah, let's be helpful, getting Lara to click every single link on the Intarwebs. It'll keep her occupied for a week or two.
  • Don't forget THAT link over there.
  • Y'know what would be cool? If we had a wiki.
  • And when do we get a Perview Buttun?
  • I was actually smart enough some time ago to click the "forgot password" link. What I can't find is the link to edit profile, and subsequently password. On this login, it forced me to update, so I'm still not sure where I would have gone. Pardon my blog ignorance (blognorance), but I normally don't have much time or inclination to visit blogs.
  • Sorry if that came out snarky. Bad day, need sleep.
  • Looking for "blognorance"!! . . . *Ding!* *applause*
  • When you log in, do you see a page (or link to a page) called the Dashboard? The second bulletted link there is "Update your profile or change your password". Or at the top right is a "My Account" link, or in the horizontal blue bar a "Profile" link. At the bottom of your profile is an option to update your password.
  • so, when we have issues with mofi, we take them to the blog, and when we have issues wih the blog, we chat them up on mofi, eh? I think we need a third venue where we discuss both. Oh, and a wiki.
  • Jeez, Ralph- bite the hand much?
  • And perhaps another section for handbiting?
  • You gotta keep these site admins on their toes or all the glory and fame just goes to their heads. It's not like she's gonna banninate me or something, I mean fer Chri-- [NO CARRIER]
