Nazi Propaganda Posters, from the German Propaganda Archive. Some are impressive, some are, well, camp. Here's a Beetle ad, and here's one from the 1939 Nurmeberg Peace Rally (cancelled due to war). And this one is for the odious and infamous film, The Eternal Jew. Here are some stills.

Sort of via the other place.

  • I'm getting a 403 on the direct links to images, but if you select the URL and hit 'Enter' they work
  • *sigh* It looks like the liberal War on Nazi Christmas has started early this year. posted by gigawhat? at 11:59 AM PST on November 29 Dangit, first post on Das Blau was what I was gonna say. Stupid smelly MeFitists!
  • Y'know, I think that film "The Eternal Jew" has a few inaccuracies in it.
  • Was it the film Eva Braun didn't like? [MoFi self-link] Did you watch the programme, Plegmund? Cool links, bobboggis. More artsy than these NK counterparts.
  • I'm afraid I forgot...
  • "Brennessel, the Nazi humor magazine."
  • Say what you like about them Nazzies, and I've heard they were a bit rough, you've got to admit they had style. "Look, we've got a skull on our caps, does that mean we're the bad guys?"
  • Good stuff, bob. I remember searching around these posters for inspiration for the poster for Arturo Ui earlier this year. I felt a bit strange, enthusiastically trawling the web for Nazi imagery (in the end, we just ripped off Julian Opie) That camp poster looks like an early Nitzer Ebb cover. "Wir fahr'n, fahr'n, fahr'n auf der Autobahn..."
  • Nice one. I think I’m fascinated with this stuff because it’s so unbelievable. Like someone who hangs an Elvis on black velvet without a trace of irony. (Or Quark with a revolver).
