Curious Annual Gift George
It's that time of year again, and I'm feeling particularly lazy and want to try to do all of my shopping for far-away relatives online. Gimme your favorite online shopping links! NOW!
Mostly I'm concerned with stuff for kids (smartypants kids aged 2 to 11) which will ship within the US by Dec. 25, but let's see all of your luscious linkies!

I just ordered some jewelry from an Etsy seller yesterday too. I wonder what fraction of annual income comes at this time of year for the average seller there. On a trip to Newport RI a couple years back we discovered J.H. Breakell, home of the golden broccoli pin.
-
Archie McPhee, home of Cap'n Danger, Stunt Monkey.
-
Lee Valley has some pretty nice battery-free toys.
-
Yay, Lee Valley! that's an Ottawa company, don'cha know. ahem, anyway, toys-wise, I like Mighty Goods. It's a blog of mighty nice goodies and toyish things.
-
I've gotten inexpensive, fun and semi-related to science things from physlink.com and thinkgeek.com I think some of the best successes were "old-fashionish" wind-up sparking toys, and frigits. Please! Do not buy the child's reanimation kit.
-
geeks.com all the way, baby.
-
The perfect gift.
-
Oh wait, I thought you said "Curious Annal Gift George." Never mind.
-
There's some fun stuff at stupid.com. (There's some overlap with Archie McPhee, but enough original stuff to justify checking it out.)
-
I generally give books. Someday they'll be grateful.
-
An amazing AskMe thread on this topic can be found here.
-
Absolutely, positively, no doubt about it, the best online list of potential Christmas presents you could ever possibly want. Darn tootin'. Or maybe not. It's a joke, please don't banninate me.
-
Curse you to ashes!
-
Manufactum - wonderful well made things.
-
Not USian, but they do make period rocking-horses in traditional styles.
-
My Grandad used to make rocking horses, and I'm currently researching where they all ended up!
-
It has to be them.
-
Then again, why not the amazing flying monkey.?
-
StoryBored, that is a great site!!
-
Beeswacky: That is the most wonderful site! I guess you could say I have a collection of rocking horses. Most of them are found ponies--one at the dump, the other by the side of the road, two at junk stores...etc. Dump Pony now sports a real horsehair mane and tail, and will be decorated for the holidays, as usual. Muteboy: Can you post pictures? *hops up and down excitedly

Here's the rocking horse I bought for Mrs.TheDog last year
-
That's a beauty, RTD.
-
Ooh, lurvely ... scratching post needs re-sissaling though.
-
damned cat...

Try steel cables!
-
Handsome rocking-horse, Ralph!
-
"I generally give books. Someday they'll be grateful." Yeah, someday they'll have a table with one leg shorter than the other three... (Just kidding, don't kill!) kit, if I weren't poor, everyone in my family would have a lemur painting for christmas!

A donkey, a chicken or a goat!
