Foley: 'It's Just Been a Real Hard Time'
when talking to reporters goes horribly wrong.
when talking to reporters goes horribly wrong.
-
He meant to say he feels deflated. Limp.
-
I sure it has been hard, confronting the hypocracy of a lifetime, but he'll feel much better when it's done. Do you suppose he'll become an advocate for gay rights? Or, join NAMBLA?
-
o where will the winds of pedophilia blow him ... so to speak ...
-
He'll probably just go for a drive.
-
Foley's not a pedophile. Via Wikipedia
-
Alas, I don't speak in APA, I speak English. Source: WordNet (r) 1.7 pedophilia n : sexual activity of an adult with a child [syn: paedophilia]
-
And, 16 year olds are children in most states in the US>
-
But not it much of the Western world, where 16 is the age of consent.
-
The age of consent in DC is 16, isn't it? I think Foley deserves to be scorned for his innapropriate actions and his reprehensibly hypocritical politics, but labelling him a pedophile (As far as I know, all the men he's spoken to and had sexwith have been 16+) seems like something the Republicans would do.
-
He's an Ephebophile, but it makes no difference, since the position he held was chairman of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children, plus he expoused Christian beliefs. This makes him a hypocrite of high magnitude & unfit for any office, except perhaps a house of office.
-
he expoused Christian beliefs. so? did you suppose professing Christianity magically erases all imperfection? This makes him a hypocrite of high magnitude *rolls eyes* as if there are any human beings not guilty of hypocrisy. how is hypocrisy magnitude measured? below what order of magnitude is one barred from public office? let's say there's a hard and fast rule: 12 millimeters of hypocrisy. a person of 11 millimeters is eligible for the senate. a person of 12 is not. there is only a millimeter of difference between the two. isn't that hypocritical?
-
I would say he's a hypocrite of at least 163 metric butttons. And get him out of government. The asshole.
-
It's measured in the scale of zealots. "did you suppose professing Christianity magically erases all imperfection?" Not at all, but many of them would have us believe so. Furthermore, it is apparently the only qualification needed to judge others based upon a completely outdated & unrealistic set of moral paradigms that they themselves cannot live up to. Because no one can. The problem here is not with the existance of the imperfect person, it is with the imperfect who are in a position of authority that judge or limit the freedoms of other imperfects, presenting themselves as pure. Do you think Foley would have got elected to the chair if he had been open about his sexuality? You don't think he hid his preferences (at least to constituents & media)? This is what I'm on about. As far as I know there are no perfect people except you & I, quonsar. If only they elected us, then everything would be alright. ;)
-
so, so true.
-
I've yet to hear of Foley actually commiting a crime or actually harming anyone. Has he? At this point, I just pity the poor bastard.
-
I've yet to hear of Foley actually commiting a crime or actually harming anyone. Apart from all the gays and non-Christians his ministry is focused on treating as second hand citizens and stuff. But who gives a fuck about a bunch of faggots and heathens, right?
-
Not to mention the boys who were supposed to be able to look up to him as a mentor, but instead had to avoid him as a predatory creep.
-
But who gives a fuck about a bunch of faggots and heathens, right? Right! That's exactly what I meant. I sure do hate those faggots and heathens!
-
Apart from all the gays and non-Christians his ministry is focused on treating as second hand citizens and stuff. You're looking haggard.
-
It's easy to get confused between these right wing closet pooves, there are so many of them.
-
how is hypocrisy magnitude measured? By girth
-
Didn't he introduce legislation raising the age up to 18 and wasn't that the hypocrisy factor here?
-
Heaggots? Faethens? I remember a Kids in the Hall sketch where Scott Thompson posited that it was the "T" in "faggot" that bothered conservative Christians since it reminded them of Christ's agony on the cross. He said the answer was to change the word to "Faggo."
