radio free #mofirc - celebrating one month on the air! We're playing 24 hours of '80s fantabulousness tomorrow - all day Monday starting at midnight EST. Tune in, enjoy, and perhaps stop by to say hi!
  • Good stuff and glad I finally got my irc going.
  • Oh, sweet! I didn't even know that we had a music station. -wanders off to listen-
  • loudcity.com isn't paticularly friendly to linux, but I managed to get this playing on kplayer.
  • Sorry, what was that? I've got a banana in my ear.
  • rock on!
  • I thought you had to use irc, but you don't. I is feeling fairly foolish.
  • I will be broadcasting from my job tomorrow at 3 until 4. It will be some upbeat weird new freaky shit. I like to end my weeks on a high note.
  • Nice choons right now! Thanks, whoever 'tis.
  • So, I've got my initial playlist ready to go... Now, just wondering if I should jump into this deep pool? Cuz I'm thinking there's no turning back once I start swimming...
  • There's quite an undertow ...
  • Come inside! The water is fine!
  • How would you know, Koko? You've never even dipped your toes in the pool ...
  • Woo! More DJs! Fresh blood! Dooo eeeet :D
  • Koko: I stand corrected on you status as a DJ. However, I do object to the "there's quite an undertow" remark as it stands. Perhaps you would like to clarify.
  • 'Cause it's addictive, yo. It drags you in....
  • That's what I meant. Even though I've only done it once, I really enjoyed it and plan to do it again, and more regularly, once I have time. I can "feel the pull", as it were. As I drift about through my day, treading water in my normal routine, I can feel a strong current, running cold and deep beneath me. I fight it, oh yes I do, but this current is as old and wise as it is deep and cold, and it is as patient as the sea, to which all things must return. It knows that I had a sandwich only 15 minutes ago, and must inevitably succumb to the cramping, and let myself drift helplessly in its watery embrace. The name of that current ... is radio free #mofirc. It will take me. And it will take you too! *sucks on pipe, leans too far back in chair, falls over backwards*
  • Yoo hoo, my first broadcast is up and away!
  • OK, how come nothing happens whan I push the play button in the web player?
  • I'm afraid it must be *gulp* dead air, TUM. Back in Decmeber when I did my stint, it seemed like Radio Free Mofirc was on the down-low. *sigh* Perhaps I'll do another set one of these evenings.
  • Decmeber gently Decmeber slowly Take it easy On the down-low Cause I have never been hushed like this before. /Andy Kimilktea
  • I think part of the problem is that there is a monetary cost to keeping Radio #mofirc going. Have a chat to the organisers in #mofirc (on IRC) and see what they have to say, but if there's enough interest maybe someone could set up a Paypal account for paying the monthly subscription fee.
  • monthly subscription fee Hell, I don't recall anyone mentioning that before. Had I known, I would have chipped in long ago...
  • Don't quote me, I'm recalling a conversation from a month or two back. But I'm sure there was some cost involved, and it ran out.
  • Ruh roh?
