Tito: male belly dancer.
He's starting to shake... He's starting to shimmy... Gotta admit, dude's got moves. But he also does martial arts stick dancing, which is very, very manly. *cough* [youtubey goodness].
Curse you, public radio, for expanding my horizons, and causing me to search out male belly dancers on the internets! And Tito's not that Tito (though I did enjoy the jokes section.)
-
*erases Capt's search history* It's for your own good.
-
He's starting to... Shudder, Ted? ----------------------- And then the Arabs came and they bought Mercedes Benzes.
-
*cries*
-
Dammit, I'm too late to this thread to make petebest cry! I was sure this would do it. Male bellydancers are actually pretty common in Turkey... but this is the first I've heard of them in Egypt! Egypt (big surprise) is very conservative when it comes to bellydance. Things like floor work and exposed midriffs-- a major part of the dance anywhere else-- aren't allowed in Egypt itself.
-
Yeah, blame NPR, Capt.
-
But does he do breakdance fighting?
-
I could kick this guy's ass.
-
How manly of you!
-
I think he's amazing!
-
How manly of you! You should see me get lost while driving and refuse to stop to ask for directions.
-
So do we get a YouTube video of the manly Monkey bellydancers from the next meetup? *swoons to think of Petebest in silky harem pants with bells around his ankles
-
I first read that as "in silky harem pants around his ankles."
