Calvin & Hobbes Mash-Up - I'm not sure who came up with this, but it made me unspeakably sad.
  • That's okay, Calvin, there are OTHER pills you can take when you want to be creative again! And they'll make your tiger talk and you lamp dance!
  • *does the lamp dance*
  • Yeah yeah yeah, Jackie Paper came no more. Listen, can we wrap this up? I gotta be somewhere.
  • *puts cold quarters in glama's thong*
  • That is depressing. As it rolypoly's article. So depressing I just requested next Friday off to cry. :'-(
  • Only our southern neighbor, Mexico, offers workers less vacation time--a paltry six days--which certainly explains why so many Mexicans would seek employment here. Ha. Ha. So funny. *fumes*
  • Yeah, that was sad and sucky. Calvin is one of my very best childhood memories. The Lamp Dance, on the other hand, is a much more recent (and fuzzy) memory. Wooo!
  • Look for Calvin and Hobbes memories with the searchable database of all of the strips.
  • This calls for some music.
  • And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon, Little boy blue and the man in the moon.
  • That's a terribly off-putting article, but not so much for the crushing Puritan work ethic. Rather, for the unspoken egocentric insinutation by paragraph three or four that "english" is not what Brits or Aussies speak, let alone the multilingualism of many of the nationalities mentioned.[insert obligatory stupid jokes here] I remember this cartoon being mentioned A few times before on the ol' MoFi.
  • Insinuation, even.
  • Poor the Hobbes. Do you know according to artist guy, it's meant to be pronounced 'Hobb-ee-s', rather than 'Hobs'. What twaddle. Hobs it is and always will be.
  • "UPDATE: Welcome to everyone coming here from Angela Gunn's TechSpace, Monkeyfilter, Stumbleupon & other cool links."
  • Maybe he meant it as in hobbies?
