What's my name SIR!
A U.S. Marine Sergeant is auctioning off naming rights for himself, to help orphans. Oddly, GoldenPalace.com not yet on list.

Surprised that everyone's resisting the temptation to go all Fark on this thread, but ok... I'd like to see something totally confusing, like Sergeant Sargeant Colonel Admiral Master-Bombadier. Or maybe just his serial number as his proper name, and be all Dada about it. But if you give him a proper name of his serial number, and he says it, then ask him for his serial number, and he says it, it'll totally become a "Who's on First" thing, with someone likely ending up in the brig or on KP... Hmm.

Give him a question: "What's your name, asshole?" "Asshole" for short.
-
Hmmm, I womder if anyone would pay to support ME while I attend college in exchange for a name change? I guess it's no worse than that mayor who changed his town's name in exchange for free satellite TV service. Probably the corporate-sponsor route ("Finest Freshest Fastest") will be the most profitable. My inner wiseass would love to see him named after some feminine hygiene product, like "sergeant Massengill Medicated" or "Sergeant Playtex Super."

Lousy babykiller.

What's your name soldier? Fuck You, Sir!

He could name himself George W. Bush and then stop showing up for training.. and...smedleyman, as a vet who is against this war, who was called names after I came back from overseas after working in hospitals during the VN war, did NOT vote for Bush, and has a son who is a Marine because he believes in what he does (who has never killed any babies), I could have done without that... Sorry, but confusing the politics and the intent of the troops is difficult for me, especially when we're losing more young people in Iraq at a faster rate. It really isn't their fault.
-
Wasn't there a Major Major Major in Catch 22?
-
If he was an officer I'd have voted for Captain Anne Tennille.
-
goldenpalace.com doesn't care about orphans, that's why.

“Sorry, but confusing the politics and the intent of the troops is difficult for me,” My apologies brother. Should’ve added a ‘sarcasm’ boldface. Probably not as clear cut as I thought it was (although I thought it was pretty clear - smiling Marine Sgt helping out orphans, etc. such an obviously stand up and forthright individual)
-
smedleyman... thanks... I like this place..

Also nice, but I’d rather see the female Marines, m’self.
