The Polaris Music Prize has been announced and the Canadian music journalists' top honour for this year goes to Owen Pallet's ambitious solo violin-rich post-classical pop project Final Fantasy for the album He Poos Clouds.

I'm rather excited about this since I saw Final Fantasy play last night and it absolutely blew my mind. I'm sorry if nobody else cares, but hey there's free music on that site! Good music, too!

  • eh, I felt like He Poos Clouds was a step down from Has a Good Home. I would`ve given it to Broken Social Scene.
  • I dunno, I felt it was a step up. It was more ambitious. Maybe it was a step sideways?
