Look and Learn
This may only appeal to British Mofites aged 45 - 55 (which probably = me), but thousands of images from 'Look and Learn' are accessible here. Unfortunately IPC has retained the rights to the Trigan Empire, the bit people actually wanted to read.
They also have a number of er, more junior publications, so you can also see such masterpieces as "Walter Hottle Bottle" or "Gulliver Guinea Pig" (a personal favourite in bygone days).

Coolio. I don't remember this, although it says it was published until '82, although the name sounds familiar. I too love Gulliver now.
-
I had several years worth of issues of L&L when I was a kid - part of the parents attempt to stuff my brain with facts. One thing that impressed me was the quality of the artwork. The historical series were very well presented. Billy Brock was one of my favourites - but I can't remember why.

this stuff is very familiar to me, but i can't remember exactly what publications i had.

OMG, Plegmund! Blast from the distant past. Our grade school had ancient second hand copies of these. The Trigan Empire rocked! I still remember The Mormonth of Morg!
-
There is some Trigan Empire stuff here, (pinched from Blaise Bailey Finnegan). If you're really dedicated, this is the beginning of the saga, providing the back story I never knew until now.
-
The Trigan Empire was awesome.
-
I'm Wibbley Wobbley about it.

I got into the Trigan Empire when it was reprinted in Vulcan comics, during the 1970s. Later, at highschool, one of the teachers had a stack of the old original Look and Learn magazines, which I used to pore thru. Then I'd dry them off & read them. They should make a movie out of the Trigan Empire, but it would have to have that glossy look of Don Lawrence's illustrations. Plus, it would have to not suck.
