Browzar Surf in complete privacy, thanks to the absence of those really cool "features" that everyone I know turns off anyway.

This is a small browser - unlike portable Firefox - that will run nicely off a thumbdrive.

  • Done and done. Will play with that later. Ta!
  • Nice idea. You still have to have IE5.5 installed, it would appear.
  • browse() { wget $1 | tidy | more }
  • Mercy buckets. It'll make surfing for pr0n at work just that much easier.
  • Have you ever been caught out by auto-complete or web history? Has anyone ever found out what you’ve been using the web for? Read about some of the most embarrassing situations… If only they’d used Browzar… Dear Browzar: It was going to be a late day at the office. Our HTML directory had become mixed up with the sectors that control the server farm. We were sunk. Becky and I would have to spend the entire evening loading DVDs onto the disk farm. This was going to take forever. "What a bitch" I exclaimed. Becky sat up straight in her airfoil office chair. "Not you" I said with a laugh "This assignment is going to take all night." I'll be up until 3 in the morning doing it. "I wish I could have a man that would stay up until 3 in the morning doing it" Becky said. She was a heck of a tease. I told her that if she stayed here with me I would do my best to keep it going. Becky thought that would be fun. We quickly grabbed the bottle of French bourbon that I keep in my desk for late night work and started surfing the web, waiting for our discs to load....
  • Now I have an erection. Just FYI.
  • I had an erection back in 2000, but Bush stole it.
  • god we need girlfriends. *snorts detergent*
  • Can't you just turn off autocomplete? Or clear the autocomplete history? Pfft. Amateurs.
  • If privacy is one's main concern, hy not just use Lynx then? Or Links,or ELinks, or any of the other "alternative" browsers?
  • 'Cause you can't see pr0n on Lynx. I was hoping not to have to spell it out.
  • Back in the day before the interweb, we make do with ASCII porn, and we were grateful for it, young man!
  • If you don't know how to cover your tracks, don't go sneakin' round dem woods, son.
  • Cookies, autocomplete, temporary directories, don't forget though that much of your behavior is recorded on your permanent record.
  • Clear Private Data extension for Firefox. Right click, poof.
  • Apparently it is full of spyware. Or so I heard.
  • I thought bush was supposed to take your erection.
  • more anti-Mac discrimination....
  • Maciscist!
  • Hmmm... on looking at Camilo's link, I think this post should be eeked.
  • mmmm spywary and still basically just IE. As far as bloat is concerned, of course it is smaller than firefox since it is just the equivelent of an extension to the software that is already on the machine. If you really think that something like portable firefox is too big, Kmeleon is less than 5mb and is a windows-only firefox variant. There's also a portable Opera which is 5mb
  • Yes, tracicle, as Skrik says, this needs eeking - BBC now says Browzar is adware.
  • On greater reflection, traciclemaybe just adding a warning to it at the beginning would do?
  • LBS!
