NASA: Rover landed in a former Martian lake. In a press conference today NASA announced evidence that liquid water existed at the Rover Landing site. Senior scientists speculate that the water source could have ranged anywhere from hidden groundwater to a sea the size of one of America's Great Lakes. Though liquid water has long been suspected on Mars, this discovery takes the exploration to a new level.
  • Maybe Mars is going through an extended, extreme ice age just like Earth has in the past (with all water currently at the frozen poles. I don't know much about that sort of thing, but is it possible? Next thing Jean M. Auel will write a book about it.
  • I think Mars is where Saddam Hussein put those weapons of mass destruction. Here's a smaller article on finding water on Mars. I would love to see America go to Mars. The problem is there is no money for the project.
  • Still no weapons of mass disappearance found on Mars, but more evidence for water.
  • Well done, Nasa!
  • Wormsign?
  • Nice. Maybe we'll get to see our first spiceblow...
