Mythical Creatures.

I think the Seabishop might be my favourite. He's much better than the Seamonk, at least

  • Nice one, dng! The art is really clean and simple, which I like.
  • Cool site thanks. Also see Himmapan - Thai mythical creatures.
  • I always thought the Barbary Lamb was freaky, yo. Great find, dng! )))! I can see myself wasting a lot of time here. Glad I met my deadline yesterday.
  • The Bonnacon: An Asian animal, like a bison, that emits noxious vapors from is rear if attacked. These vapors can cover 3 acres, and will burn trees in its path. Oh yeah? So does my dad.
  • I tried planting some of those Barbary Lambs last year. They started to come up, but then the squirrels, birds, and manticores ruined the crop.
  • Y'know, that lamb tree kinda looks like a goat on a pole.
  • My The Man From Atlantis annual 1978 had a section on mythical sea creatures, and that same etching of the Seabishop was in there. Also the old dugong = mermaid tale. The book also had a section on why The Man From Atlantis sucked so much. Budget issues, mainly, you know.
  • This is a great link, by the way. Were any of these bred for their skills in magic?
  • OK sorry I know yeah but look Moon Woman? That's just taking the piss. Dave is making this stuff up. Geese! Up A Tree!
  • dng, you've been on fire lately with the excellent posts.
  • In Greek mythology, it was a female monster killed by Bellerophon... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Damned Greek men always killing my hybrid he-she mates! CAN'T AN ABSTRACTION HAVE ANY FUN AROUND HERE?
  • I agree, bonester. Do you think maybe he's got the wrong website?
  • The Proto-hippie Great find, dng!
  • kraken emerges from the sea resembling land to unsuspicious folk like you and me the roc's too large, and in one bite will eat both horse and the noble knight I much prefer old Pegasus who lets me rides him without such fuss
