Remember the Falling Sand game that all the cool kids were playing last year?
Well, now there's a new version. (java)
Its... simple. And addicting. It has several siblings, including this downloadable version, which has lotsa pyrotechnics.
-
wikipedia entry that takes all the fun out of figuring it out for yourself (I searched! so if this is a double, well... I just suck.)
-
ahhh! that is gorgeously mesmerizing and addictive indeed!

-
d'oh!
-
(It was worth saying twice, Medusa.)
-
It makes my Firefox lock up. Dangitall.
-
Hmmm... works fine for me. Maybe clear the cache or something?
-
Nah. It's a NoScript thing. Doesn't matter. I get to play with real sand anytime I wanna. *sniff*
-
*changes name to "real sand"*
-
Ahhhhh, what's the point of it?
-
Hey. There's something wrong with my Real Sand Doll. It's winking at me!
-
Winking, sure, but that ain't no banana...
-
It looks more like a baby corn. I love miniatures!
-
Uh, when do you get the guns in this?
-
Hmm...the new version seems the same as the old version to me. Just a slightly different interface, isn't it? Or am I perchance a big crazyheaded crazypants who refuses to see the obvious?
-
Sweet it's DoubleMedusa Tuesday! Which is cool, because load: class7 sand not found.
-
huh. Who knew only the Chosen could play this game? Are all the links like that, petebest?
-
I still don't get the point of this? If you do it right do little people evolve and stuff?
-
Whay is that yellow ball thing that appeats every so often and rolls across the screen?
-
the new one works. Now where's my DoubleMedusa? That's an "in" joke, y'know . .
-
No, Berek, little people don't evolve. However, in "Hell of Sand" you get to play with zombies. The yellow ball is Namakuji, which translates as 'slug.' It gets bigger if you give it water, dessicates if you give it salt. You can also turn it off. And... why does it need to have a point?
-
That's an "in" joke, y'know . . I have no idea what you're talking about. *scrubs out Gender Blender*
-
My girls spent HOURS playing this last night. Thanks for the link, PatB!
-
i spent a nice relaxing 30 minutes with this. thanks!
-
Damn you PatB. I played this stupid thing for a couple hours last night and then had dreams about falling sand while sleeping. The worst part about it? I still haven't figured out how you get to the fps part of the game.
