  • I've got a question, do many monkeys read Mefi and vice versa? Based on the influx of Mefi refugees when Mefi was down for a week, I think there should be a temporary moratorium on linking back and forth between the two. Anybody have any input on this?

  • Yes, I agree. If I wanted to read Mefi, I'd read Mefi. There's a lot of fresher stuff out there, people. Maybe stuff from the ancient Mefi archives that hasn't been posted here, that some would not have seen, but otherwise.. feh (wasn't gonna say anything, but glad that crazy finger did)
  • I see no reason to limit posting, personally, because most of us who read MeFi can't post comments. Hopefully we will have the potential for a different discussion thread than MeFi does. That's presuming the FPP is worth discussion. If it's just a cool link, then I could just as easily get that at Metafilter.
  • There's often something that I really want to comment on, that I can't, as it's on Metafilter. However, more often than not something eventually pops up here.
  • I forgot that some of you could not comment on Mefi. I guess I can see that for the really interesting discussion-type stuff, posting Mefi stuff here is a good idea, but today, for instance, there are a couple of Mefi front page links on Mofi. I'd hate for Mofi to become simply a Mefi mirror.
  • I wasn't trying to create a monkey vs mefi battle on this post- I just thought their shirts were funny :) MeFi stinks because most people can't post and its full of pinko-commies who hate on every link and everything posted. At monkey you get more lighthearted and less mean posts.

  • I found mofi during the mefi outage from somebody's post on the bloggers tribe. I read mefi daily, but often get frustrated at not being able to post my particular brand of Pinko-Commie Cranky Commentary

  • Mapquest is always up to something. Seriously, though, those "Mood" thongs are really funny. I bet those would make for a great present. But if I was taking somebody's pants off during some romantic encounter, and came across "Mood: Horny" or something, I might actually start laughing out loud. Or, well, depending on the alcohol level, say something really, really witty and studly. Or, just laugh. Let's be honest here. You'd break into hysterics. P.S. I'm another one of those "Can't post on Metafilter" people.
