I thought it said making a watch band. I was like, meh, what's so impressive about that. I did that in summer camp when i was 12. Then I clicked on the link and i was all like oh never mind that's totally different. impressive
-
If you don't mind, I think I'll watch.
-
Enjoyed this, thanks.
-
Time I watched.
-
Wolof, hour sure you enjoyed it?
-
I want to make a watch, but I am stopped by the fear that the equipment is all very expensive, and that I'll mess everything up.
-
Suggest we give polychrome a hand. And a second hand would be useful.
-
Wait a minute, I hand you guys a post and all you can tock about is punning? Sheesh. *smile*
-
I just jam a toothpick in my wrist and use it as a sundial.

I want to make a watch, but I am stopped by the fear that the equipment is all very expensive, and that I'll mess everything up The equipment is indeed pretty expensive, even if you just want to design a case and dial and stick a Swiss quartz movement into it. To actually build a mechanical movement takes even more expensive equipment and extremely steady hands. Just putting case screws into a watch movement, let alone the more delicate work, could drive a normal man without training and practice batshit.

gawrsh TUM, yer such a luddite!
-
It's about time you stopped this. I'm telling you, sun, dial my number or knock on my door one more time, make one single movement, and I'll sound the alarm. I just might get digital on you! .!.. You just sit there drinking, hour after hourglass after glass, wondering if your ticker's going to go. Don't you feel like the pendulum is going to swing your way some time soon? Remember timer tide wait for no man. MonkeyFilter: could drive a normal man without training and practice batshit

I just jam a toothpick in my wrist and use it as a sundial. Old school.
