Solve a puzzle...for science!
(java) Try to sort out this exam timetabling nightmare as best as you can, and you might be in for a prize !
Instructions can be found here. Basically, each exam comes with a number of students and a duration. The goal is to manage to schedule all the exams so as to minimize the number of conflicts (e.g. same student having two exams at the same time, or in a row). The interface is rather well made and will help you achieving this. Good luck ! Disc: the guy is a friend of mine, I hope it's ok. I found it cool enough to pass it on here. Also, the prize money can be sent overseas if need be.

Item 3. Triangle, rectangle, what's the difference?

Hi Koant!

Great post, Koant! I haven't a kluw.

I know nothing about exam timetables, but any contest where you can win 70 pounds of prizes isn't all bad.

Glad you like it. It can take some time but you can leave it and come back to it later. And what are week-ends for, really ? :) Hi Wolof!
