Italy convicts blogger for defamation
Better watch what you say, Monkeys...
"It looks like the blogger is being punished for his bad language and not because he posted false information, which is unacceptable," Paris-based Reporters Without Borders said in a statement Friday.

Four people, including two journalists, had filed a complaint against him over the content of his blog, which reports on local news in sarcastic and sometimes crude terms. It's a good thing the Rude Pundit doesn't live in Italy. What a bunch of damned crybabies.

All sounds like a bit of a storm in a teacup. If you are going to be online you have to develop a thick skin. Someone, somewhere out there is going to say nasty things about you. It appears that he may not have gone far enough to warrant defamation charges.
