Not everyone who gets hit by a drunk driver dies. A very powerful ad.
  • Death to WMV! (And please put a notice with your FPP.) It keeps stopping halfway through for me..
  • Agreed. This sucks. Sorry; I'm sure the message is a good one.
  • Good points sorry.
  • I've uploaded it to youtube it is about a minute long. But really powerful. As the 15th most jaded person born in the last thousand years you can take my word that you might cry a little. [link]
  • Thanks for the UTube link. It is powerful, no doubt.
  • She was the subject of a PSA campaign in Texas not too long ago. A truly sad story.
  • As much as I drink and drive I just don't crash.
  • oh yeah, I've seen stories on her before, it practically gives me nightmares. I cannot imagine the horror of her existence. I read a story about a cop who is in very similar condition (altho not from a drunk driver) who regularly expresses his wish that the docs had let him die. drunk driving is teh bad!
  • What an incredibly brave woman. And I've always hated drunk drivers.
  • It is indeed a sad story. But also brave and commendable for her to face up to what happened and be willing to show people the harsh reality. It astounds me that people still drink and drive. I guess everyone I know just makes alternative plans for travelling if they intend to drink.
  • I remember getting stopped a few times in high school. I'd be standing there at a forty-five degree angle, swaying back and forth, and the cop would ask me if I was okay to drive home. "Shure thing, Oci-fur." And then he;d let me go. That was the seventies for you. Big hair, polyester suits, and drunken driving. /thinks single link posters should have rutabegas lobbed at their heads //Rotten rutabegas ///Aged to perfection
  • In summary: Drinking & driving is good; single-link posts are bad.
  • I'm sorry the correct answer was, "Who was Aaron Burr . . . Who was . . . Aaron Burr." randomaction, you have control of the board.
  • "If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt." --Dean Martin
