I like hats. I think hats will make a comeback. I'm putting money in hats.
-
HATS, people. HATS.
-
Here's more about felt from Wikipedia, which means that the article is full of lies.
-
This is the greatest post I've ever made.
-
Here is a picture of Duke Ellington wearing a hat.
-
That pic at the end of the first link is quite illustrative. And, as genetics move on, I'm ready to start exploring hats myself sigh. Tried baseball caps, they just don't look good on me.
-
I wear a peaked beanie.
-
Methinks someone has mercury in the brim. A very Merry Unbirthday to you!
-
I thought about buying a panama hat a couple of days ago, something to keep the sun off my head and face. But it seems a little bit foreign service or something. I shall stick to my crappy 2 quid base ball cap. There was a thread here called Rob Newman's History of Oil or similar, he was wearing a hat, but it was much to small to be effective in protecting against the sun I thought.
-
So... hats, eh? Could I put one on my dog?
-
I'm please to report that answer is:
-
Please forgive the hatlink.
-
/collapsible tophat

I want to buy a real Fez. I found some on Ebay, I think they're from Turkey or somewhere, but I don't think I can get 'em at the mo' If anyone can hook me up with a Fez, I'd be grateful. I would wear it everywhere.
-
i have an extensive hat collection. much more winter-oriented than summer-oriented, however. i sometimes watch movies simply based on their hat content. is the movie likely to feature interesting hats? if yes, i'll watch it. ms roryk has learned to talk advantage of this...
-
THAT's GREAT roryk!!! HATS are the wave of the fuchum.
-
I have a fez. It is real, and it is spectacular. Most people around here all have a Tilley. I have two, the T4 (natural with green underbrim) and the T4 Hemp (mocha). Ms. RTD has the TH8, Natural. But you have to read the owner's manual.
-
At your service, Chyren Bey. There are some scattered through the links, and some may actually be Turkish. Though I thought there was one Masonic one that was completely chic. And, since you like cheese, there are some just for you.
-
I fucking hate hats. Hats are what is wrong with America. FUCK YOU AND YOUR POST, HAT-LOVER. GO COVER YOUR BALDNESS AND SHAME SOMEWHERE ELSE.
-
Dear Mr. tool, I'd say that lack of good hats is what's wrong with America. Surely you wear one of those backwards trucker caps to keep the sweat out of your eyes, while doing manual labor, since you live in the, uh ... south. You did take civilized advice about a suit, and it served you well, so I haven't entirely lost confidence in you, but you need to consider that hats can be both practicle and make a manly statement. As a starter, I would suggest the Stetson cowboy hat. It'll keep the sun off your face and neck, and channel the rain from those downpours you have down there from drowning you with its curved brim. It also has a sweatband to keep the salty drips out of your eyes. On the other hand, the Greek fisherman's hat also offers some protection from the elements and sweat in a smaller profile. The farmers in my baliwick, however, are fond of the Panama. Sun and sweat protection, with the advantage that the open weave allows air circulation. (My grandfather wore one of those. Did yours?) There are others, like the Borsalino
-
And the porkpie
-
Hats in movies and television. The favourite moment being when someone's hat get knocked or shot right off. ha! E.g. Police Squad! opener where Abe Lincoln's stovepipe hat gets shot off from behind and he springs out of his seat and returns fire!
-
A HAT KILLED MY FATHER. A LANGUAGE HAT. YOU ALL DIE NOW.
-
But, mct, I've been saving this for the finale. You would look so sexy in a fedora. All the manly men, from Sam Spade to Indiana Jones wore them. And languagehat owns a fedora, I'm sure, and nobody in a fedora would kill your father unless your father were truly evil, which I know he's not. So, come on, stop fighting it. You need a hat! You won't be really complete without one. Give it up, baby. You know you want to.

*rage fights with genitals* *genitals win* *film at eleven*
-
Hats made Canada, due to the demand for beaver pelts. Tillys are also Canadian, and one of the finest tough hats you can buy. Dreadnought wears one everyday - a beige one for summer, wool tweed for winter. But I want another Greek Fisherman's hat. I had one for years, but I don't know where it is now (went missing last summer).
-
I used to have an Akubra felt 'cowboy' style hat, dunno what became of that. I want a hat of the type Tom Baker wore as Doctor Who.
-
No-one's mentioned the asshat yet, which also can be worn during the summer.
-
/feels sad for the loss of many of my finest hats in a leaky-roof incident last week /feels silly for grieving over hats
-
I had an Oddfellows fez kicking around somewheres ... it was my grandfather's I think. If I come across it, I'll send it to you Chy. It may be a little dusty and squashed. Like my grandfather.
-
Is that hat felt? IT IS NOW! I love hats. But my head is so big I have a horrible time getting one to fit. I made some of my own, which was rather fun.
-
-
Dang!
-
-
-
-
TUM, for you: Big Hat
-
Chy is right, the fez is perfect. He should wear it everywhere.
-
It's part of my religion.
-
I love hats. I have a little hat collection that I really enjoy, with hats from the 30s, 50s, 60s and now. (My favorite "new" hat is a maroon wool newsboy hat that I've had for years.) I also have lots of wooly winter hats, and I want to learn how to crochet my own so I can have evry color.

This is the greatest post I've ever made. Wow, a single link post is the greatest you've ever made?! Truly pathetic! It's a good thing your fellow Monkeys > jumped in with additional linkage goodness to save you. /Proud owner of many hats. //Owns an Indiana Jones fedora ///Black leather ball cap is worn most often ////Great for everday wear and the occassional bondage party
-
DOH! Monkeys
-
Monkeys
-
Hmm?
-
MonkeyFilter: due to the demand for beaver pelts.
-
To make a hat they took his pelt but no one asked how the beaver felt about it
-
I would think a beaver might Not contemplate his beaver plight And that is what separates The animals From the damned
-
No, no, gotta be THIS hat Hey, Berek, who asked you? One link is OK if the Monkeys and our fearless Bashi say it's OK. This isn't some OtherFilter. We have poo, and we're not afraid to laugh and fling it. *hair once again lays flat, grins, shakes hands OOOK OOOK!
