• IRC is like a big group chat. You log on, and there can chat with other members logged on. Mofirc is a "room" where monkeys log on to chat with each other. If you have software for ircing (software noted on mofirc wiki page) you ask to connect to #mofirc.

• One of the easiest ways to join the 'firc is probably to get Firefox, then get the Chatzilla plugin. There's very little tweaking and commands involved for Chatzilla. After you've installed it, restart Firefox and click on the "Mofi IRC Channel" link that's on the sidebar.

• Umm, I downloaded Colloquy, but I don't know what to do from there. Forgive me, I was an arts major.
• There's a tutorial here. You'll see that there they have you using irc.freenode.net. You'll want to use irc.slashnet.org. Once you've connected to that server, you'll have to join a room, which in this case is #mofirc.

• I think, although I may be wrong, that once you have Colloquy installed, you just click on the MoFi IRC Channel link in the sidebar, and it should do the rest for you.

• Werewolf is a game that involves werewolves and villagers being eaten and lynchings. I've been killed three times today, once by werewolf bite, twice by lynchings (though one of them was justified). I think the server's still down. The bot that runs the game is basically in alpha right now.

• The game continues until either the werewolf/ves are toast, or the villagers are. If the seer is killed, no one knows except for the moderator.
• That's where it can get nasty too, because the werewolf can claim to be the seer, and blame a villager. That way he can kill two in a single round.
• Seems like you don't need a dedicated server - just an IRC channel with a moderator and PM-ing ought to be enough, no?
• Right -- I misspoke there. It's not a whole server just dedicated to the game. It was their existing server, and they're hosting a channel on it just to play werewolf. The game is moderated by a bot they're developing -- that's the part that's in testing now. You have to use the web client because by some weird twist it won't accept remote IRC client connections right now.
