Ten little, nine little, eight little monkeys: Bicycle Safety Rule #4: If your riding companions should be killed en route to the picnic-grounds, do not stop to check on them, as this will pose a traffic hazard. Thanks to Elim on MeFi
  • OH NOOOOO!!! i actually remember seeing this in grade school. kid you not. it came out in '63 and was still around in the late '60s. then of course in high school they showed us "mechanized death" in driver's ed. sadistic bastards!
  • Bizarre.
  • The moral: be safe, follow the rules, and you'll die dine friendless and alone. Those papier-mache monkey masks are pure Eraserhead. This is no Curious George Rides a Bicycle, for sure. I love the relentlessly perky generic 60s documentary music. "Science Series #5: Zinc Oxide And You." It stays perky as monkey after monkey meets a Gorey fate to steamrollers, manhole covers, pedestrians, etc. The narrator's Fractured Fairy Tales voice only improves the sixties ambience. And don't miss the period tennis shoes and period bicycles. Any further description from me would only repeat this review, which captures the film pretty well.
