New York Times Magazine Syndicates Jaime Hernandez login: spambobby password: password In case you don't know, Jaime is one of Los Bros Hernadez, authors of Love & Rockets.

Don't forget to check out the Salon interview in the last link.

  • Should probably have mentioned it's a comic.
  • Those Hernandez boys rock like Yoda. Such fantastic use of line and 'black'. Fucking aces!
  • Penny Century! Hopey! Izzy! Perlita! *falls over*
  • Sweet Jesus, It's Maggot. Thanks for making my entire freaking day!
  • Coolness! Awesome post. Now I have to re-read all those Fantagraphics comix I had in high school. :)
  • Or buy the big magnum opus! On second thought, although the publicity is good for Jaime, I'm not sure the single sheet weekly serial is a good format for his stories. Don't they work better in book form?
  • Well, either they put out two books with that title or that's just #18 in a 20 volume collection. And I don't know if you've read the stories in actual comic format Story Bored, but they usually cut up their narratives into little pieces like a relay between the two brothers. This first story may not pull new readers in with much other than the art, but Jaime used the limited space well enough that I'm anxious for next Sunday's edition.
  • (link is non-working second link in post)
  • The Amazon book i linked to is the massive 700 page anthology of Jaime's work. My sister has a copy and i'll probably get one. Like you, i read his stuff in book format. But those were still ten page stories rather than single pages.... My fave Jaime story has to be the one he did a few years back, was it Penny Century #3? That was probably the most amazing riff on a childhood story i've ever seen in the medium.
