Reason #5632 to eschew Oklahoma
What do we call spying anti-spyware vendors?
-
I think that ranks up in the stupidest things that can be done. I'd call them fascists, but I think the Young Ones is funny.

If you haven't done anything wrong, you don't have anything to fear.
-
I love the word "eschew".

I just got a little more serious about migrating to Linux.

Huh. Wonder if that works through a NAT router or not. I can't even ping myself from outside the house. Can MS still see my HDD? Anyway, this doesn't thrill me (not an OK resident, but still). And of course the law is crap to begin with, because you can write into law all the fines and et cetera you wish, but it still won't stop the spammers and the info thieves in China from hacking your ass. If we had clear ways to identify these people, sure, the laws would be great. But we don't. A large number of them (probably most of them) aren't even in the US to begin with. This is yet another "make myself look good for the next election" type law. And thanks, MS, for writing in some self-serving weaselocity. Just what we need.
