OCLC's Open WorldCat is an interesting new way to search for library materials, using the Google, Google Scholar and Yahoo! search engines. The interface still needs some tweaking, but the service itself looks pretty promising.
  • Oh, I kept mistaking this fpp for the one below, about cats. This does look like it could wind up being a pretty cool and useful resource, but the launching of a new window really has to go. If it launched a new tab, that'd be all right, but it launches new windows for every search, making impossible to stay organized.
