Real Life Simpsons Intro (Embedded Video). Via digg, via Layer 8.

And in case you haven't heard about the recent survey concerning The Simpsons and The First Amendment to The US Constitution.. (Scroll down to the picture of Bart & Homer)

  • I'm really impressed with how well the baby could follow the script. Except for her driving on the same side of the car as Homer. BABIES DON'T DRIVE ON THE SAME SIDE OF THE CAR AS GROWNUPS! YOU GET SPANKING!
  • Apparently it's a british job. Still sloppy, though, but I guess they can always flip it if they bring it over here.
  • Direct link to the video, please.
  • Yep, Marge is driving on the correct side. You can tell it's British because of the rainy playground, empty of children, because they're all off happy-slapping and having children of their own.
  • Not Bloody Likely! *Adjusts bowler hat*
  • Of course not round here, old boy, talking about the urban wasteland, what? *brandishes walking stick at passing ramblers*
  • Pretty Nifty. The band director even looks like Mr. Largo.
  • well done. But why?
  • Actually, the entire thing was shot on a soundstage in Nigeria. Particularly the outdoor scenes.
  • Enjoyable.
  • Kicks ass.
  • Femur elderberry.
  • Hurray for the Bleeding Gums Murphy dude on the sidewalk scene!
  • > well done. But why? As a promo for the real Simpsons.
  • Ah, they're all there: the obnoxious twins, Milhouse, Wiggum, Moe, Mr. Burns, Smithers; the music teacher is uncannily similar. And both Homer and Marge are spot-on. Showed it to a fellow Simpson-addict, but mischievously added: 'Here's a teaser for the upcoming Simpsons film!' I wish I had thought of having the camera ready to capture her pained expression. 'Oowwwwww, live action???!!!??' Ha!
  • I have to wait 'til I get home to see it. Stupid work computer!
  • Ha! Ha! /Nelson
  • Homer's goatee is odd.
  • Worst Thread EVER!
  • More than the goatee, it's the butt-crack that spooks me.
  • Any sign of Professor Frink?
  • Simpsons Unplugged Holy chocolate crap!!
  • Now do Classical Gas!
  • Dental plan!
  • MonkeyFilter: It's the butt-crack that spooks me.
  • That is so five minutes ago.
  • I caught this on tv the other day (it's an ad for the channel showing simpson's reruns), but I had missed the gaff on the driving sides. Live-action Homer is on the left-side of the car, North Am style, but live-action Marge isn't. But that makes me think - what side of the car is cartoon Marge on? (I would think left-side of car, right side of road, but I realised that I wouldn't lay money on my memory.)
  • Oh - yes, I knew it was British, other than the fact I just saw it on British tv. The roads are British - and the sky in the country scene - the rain in the schoolyard is just extra British. I do sometimes notice when shows are British or American before people speak by the colour of the sky and the nature of the sunlight - it's softer, more slanting here in Britain.(We even get Canadian tv - including Due South and Da Vinchi's Inquest - and I feel so Canadian when watching them)
  • Also because different video & equipment standards in broadcasting are in place between US & Britain. There is a noticeable difference in image.
  • There is that - I don't know enough about it. But living here I also see a difference. Maybe it's the fact we are closer to the North Pole than the majority of Canadians, even in southern England. (We're at the latitude of Edmonton).
  • Great Wet North? Ha! Hehehe . . eehhhh.
  • Simpsons vs. Star Trek via YouT00b, but fun.
  • Map of Springfield. (via Flickr)
  • Simpsons as anime Original reference here
  • That's wicked.
  • Who would you have in your werewolf movie? Ray Liotta's brother?
  • Stephen Fry. No question about it. At first glance, you may think that Stephen Fry would be an unlikely choice to play a werewolf. That's the genius.
  • I thought Steve Buscemi was the inspiration for Dr. Nick? And Rev Lovejoy should be Tim Allen.
  • Who would you have in your werewolf movie? Benicio del Toro. Fuck yes.
  • btw, there's a GI Joe movie-related link on the site Koko links above, and it's a browser hijack for, ironically enough, anti-malware software. No clicky.
