Indian man drives in reverse for Peace!
Harpreet Devi, from the state of Punjab, has been driving in reverse for two years... It is all part of a 'reverse philosophy,' aiming to improve ties between India and Pakistan. Monkeys were not available for comment at time of writing.
Sometimes, Devi says, "you can improve a situation by going into reverse." Driving in reverse is not without its drawbacks (or drawforwards, if you prefer), he relates, as it has resulted in back & neck pain. "To achieve something, you have to do something," he says, "so it's right that I should be experiencing pain."

He's just trying to emulate the two governments.
-
...
-
I hope the governments come to their senses soon - that can't be good for his neck or his car.
-
Hard to believe Uncle Nostril came among us with so little attendent fanfare.
-
So this was his first post? Looks as though he'd just signed up the day before. In any case, the combination of spirituality and eccentricity is perfect.

Ancient Monkey History Note for Newcomers: and CHY KEEP YOUR NOSE OUT OF THIS! Formerly Nostrildamus, latterly and happily still with us as Chyren, this guy's been from the onset one of our busiest, most unpredictable, and entertaining posters. Even more impressively, at least to me, Chy is also one of our most expressive writers -- and he thinks for himself rather than swallowing other people's opinions piecemeal, and is fearless about taking an unconventional or unpopular stand, all things which, coupled with his ability to write directly, simply, and very much to the point, compelled my respect from the first. The man can be frighteningly rational yet at the same time I think it fair to say he has no small passions. However, it's two other qualities which make me proud and happy to call Chy my friend: his astonishing honesty and readiness to admit a fault when he sees reason for it -- this guy is by no means rigid or defensive in his thinking. And secondly, his extreme warmth of heart, which he, more, I think, more than any other monkey here, is so well able to express.

*lumps in throat* Oh, damn.
-
Thanks bees. Couldn't have said it better myself. We loves the Chymie!
-
Is is just me or has MoFi recently taken on the bizarre, nostalgia-of-now melancholy usually reserved for high school seniors signing friends' yearbooks or moms dropping off their children for their first day in kindergarten? Can make-up sex be far behind?
-
*waggles eyebrows, distributes strap-on cephalopods*
-
Heh! Ex-squids-sit timing, tick!
-
Oh, I'll strap on my ceffapod, You should don a conch- I druther wear a nautilus: nacre badonkeydonk!
-

-
Keep yer mitts off my eel-pie, ye briny barbarian!

Aaah, no, make-up sex... last time I tried, she forgot to clean up my eyebrows and eye shadow. People went hysterical at the office.
