Plagiarists
A long list, unfortunately.
-
That site isn't complete. They don't include Laura Krishna.

I'm not sure about this one... For the fun of it I checked on his entry for one M. Jackson (you know, the singer, the black..no, sorry, white guy). He cites him as a plagiarist, but ends his listing with " On appeal by Jackson's lawyers... their ... client prevailed in November of 1997. And after another appeal by Carrisi, the decision in favor of Jackson was upheld." so... the fact that it was knocked down in two different courts doesn't seem to matter to this guy.. If he says someone is a plagiarist, by golly that person is a plagiarist! bottom line..this isn't a reference site, it is an opinion site.
-
They also include Stephen King and JK Rowling, although both have been completely exonerated. The "low-risk" rating means, I guess, "not guilty".
-
This site seems Rather nutty. "text vampire"? It seems to use a rather liberal definition of plagiarism, which applies to almost anyone.
-
They left out Handel.

Oh no! Gomichild is wearing the wrong trousers! (i.e. somebody else's texto-trousers)

gosh that could explain why my ankles are cold...
-
Oh, yes Coldplay, indeed! I kept hearing that damned 'Talk' track on the radio and couldn't quite name where that riff was from... Kraftwerk's 'Computer Love', of course! Bastards. Messing with the classics, oh shame...

Hey, the guy in charge of the site works at SVSU... I applied for an opening there. And don't scroll down to click on the info for his distant cousin, asshat Matthew Lesko, unless you want your brain to hurt. (Yes world, this man is an American, and he is the most annoying little freak to ever roam the earth scamming people out of their money.)
-
Blastards.

It seemed to me that every author I clicked on was being sued by another author, but hadn't been found guilty in any court. I would imagine when any book becomes famous, somebody out there with something even remotely similar in print is going to try to cash in. I third the call that this is an opinion site. He should at least stamp ALLEGEDLY across each page or something.

As bad as plagiarism is, it's less visually aggravating as fixed-width table layouts.
-
Dude, they totally copied this list.

My plagiarised cartoon up there has caused a large amount of annoyance on their website, which is quite amusing. Oddly, despite finding them linking to it on another forum (which you don't even have to register to comment on), none of the people complaining about it have ever contacted me about it. I'd remove it if any of them asked
-
I can't believe it hasn't occurred to anyone to contact you. They may know a buttload about plagiarism, but not about the internets, I guess.
-
Yeah, its all a bit strange. As he links to my website and a forum I'm on, I'm not exactly hard to find and contact Also, it really isn't even an example of plagiarism, in that I never made any attempt to pretend either the artwork or the text was mine.
-
Also, my comment up there is a little garbled. I meant "Oddly, despite them finding it on another forum (which you don't even have to register to comment on)..."
-
"Two University of Pittsburgh professors expressed surprise today when they heard accusations that Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin plagiarized large parts of their book for his mid-1990's economic dissertation." 20 pages of it, too! With charts & graphs! *snork*

foshata.com: japanese adverts with added subtitles. i like the built-in plagiarizer, which mashes up subtitles and ads.

Well, you didn't say the work was yours but you didn't credit either of the writers either, so implicitly you could be saying it's yours. Either way it's funny and irony and stuff.
