Ando Horoshige's Ukiyo-e Japanese woodblock prints. And a Monkey Reaching for the Moon. seen here.
  • Those are so lovely they make my heart ache to have one or several. What an amazing collection.....and quite a large body of work. Thanks for a wonderful link, islander. ))))
  • Darshon, I don't want your heart to ache but I have a Hiroshige, this one. It was my grandfather's. My parents' families lived in Japan until 1941 and my father's father collected a lot of prints (and netsuke) as they weren't valued much in Japan at the time. Mine isn't considered one of Hiroshige's best works and it's a bad print and faded so it's worth little money but it has great sentimental value for me. Thanks for the links islander. I'll be spending the next several hours online browsing them.
