Aging band pose as teens to sell single.
Welsh band The Alarm renamed themselves The Poppyfields (top right) and got teenagers to mime their single, 45RPM, for the video, supposedly as a statement on the importance of image in selling music.
It appears that the big secret was leaked quite quickly -- only indielondon.co.uk have been sucked in: "The Poppyfields...seem to revel in the ability to deliver catchy post-punk rock-outs... Think The Strokes...or The Sex Pistols, and you’re not too far away from what to expect from this sparky debut." Aside from that, I seriously doubt it's a statement on the industry as much as it is an effective attention-getter.

Do we have VH1's Bands Reunited to thank for this new album?
