Any Monkeys in Dallas/Ft. Worth area? I'd like to meet you! What say you to a Monday afternoon meetup (Jan.15)?

Yes, I know, such short notice but it worked once before, giving me the chance to meet some very nice Monkeys, so I thought it might be worth a try during my upcoming trip to Texas. How about Monday @ 4:30pm? Or alternatively, Sunday evening? (Given my limited tourist's sense of the area, I would like to leave the choice of meeting spot up to anyone who may respond here unless you really, really want to meet at the "world's largest honky tonk.")

  • That would be cool shandrin, if you still want to. I'm in the downtown library (Ft. Worth), the only place near me I found so far w/net access that is open today. This library rocks, by the way. So much art & photography. I'll check my email (in profile) and try yours if I can - I can check email on my cell, though not MoFi.
  • Oh, man -- if I were visiting my folks I could meet up, too. Could I suggest that you go to Joe T. Garcia's (affectionately known as Joe T's)? They have great food, and (at least the last time I went) no menu. You get the Special Mexican Dinner, which includes everything good and is served family style, or fajitas. Mmmmm. Have fun in Ft. Worth!
  • Thanks for the sugggestion meredithea. I definitely wanted to eat there but had a cash flow problem towards the end of my trip and was told that Joe T's didn't take credit. I will have to plan my future travel budgets and potential MoFi meetups better next time. Perhaps you, shandrin and any other DFW area mystery monkeys can meetup one day and send me a Special Mexican shoutout!
