• I've been wondering who-all is in the Worcester/Boston area that might be interested in a meetup. I never see anything here or MeFi, but the Bay State must be represented by some people here...! Email me (in profile) if close and interested.
• Hmmm... A meetup that's not happening while I'm in the midst of a semester. I can't, however, drive there since that would mean taking the only car that's in working condition, and I don't want to leave everyone else here with no car. So, a question for LA monkeys: If I bus in (it's not onerous, only a 3-hour trip or so), would somemonkey be willing to pick me up at the station, put me up for a night or two, and then schlepp me back to the station for the return trip? I'll cook for you.

• I forgot to say how much I wish I could be there in the company of such lovely people. It's almost a year since the Berkeley meetup and I want to go to another one! /le sigh
• Goddamnit. That is the day I get into LA from New Zealand - with 10 year old daughter in tow. And the NYC Mefi meetup is on the Saturday - my first evening at my sister's place. So near and yet so far!

• We have now returned to the compound following a rad meetup. MoFi people in attendance were myself, Space Kitty, mandyman, space kitten, Hatred (one of sexyrobot's roommates; SR was unable to attend), and whiteyonthemoon (yet another SR roomie). MeFi was represented by DaShiv, scody, willnot and mzurer. It was a lot of fun. I did MoFi shoutouts, but realized soon after that I forgot my camera (DaShiv was taking candids that will probably be posted somewhere soon, though). I'll take pics of the shoutouts tomorrow and upload 'em to flickr.

• Looks like you all had a GREAT time! The Golden Gopher looks like a great bar, too.

• It was seriously good times. Sadly, all the shouts-out ended up on DaShiv's cutting room floor. The Golden Gopher is a great bar, but for meetup purposes, next time I need to remember to pick a place with a LOT more light and a slightly quieter juke-box.
• Just one that doesn't play "Living on a Prayer" once every 10 minutes would be cool, yo. That aside, the Golden Gopher was a snazzy place and gave me martinis for the low low price of 8 dollars!
• Eight bucks? Oooo... living the high hog. Hopefully, it's one of them glowing green hogs, too.
