Star Wars Vs. Matrix Vs. Lord of the RIngs in a knock-down drag-out fight to see which trilogy has truly achieved Greatness. The author analyzes all three with regard to source material, character development and, perhaps most importantly, visual effects.

Kind of a follow up to my link from TWO FREAKING YEARS AGO which BearGuy's continuing odd-ysey recently revisited.

  • Pfft. No question. All y'all Matrix g33kz best step off, muthafuckas! And props to LOTR, but yo - that CGI shit looks like TheSims on crack. Real special effects are made by blowing the shit out of plaster models with high-powered weaponry.
  • The analysis of the source material is quite breathtaking.
  • Glad to help out, now I gotta get back to work. *continues threadtrekking*
  • What about the Men With Swords criteria?
  • And props to LOTR, but yo - that CGI shit looks like TheSims on crack Best lissen up, words o' petebest da shiznit!
  • Star Wars=The best LOTR=The best of my generation. (I'm 24) Matrix after Original=Wiggity WACK YO!!1! Act like you know.
  • If by "greatness" you mean a scale model of Minas Tirith in candy, then LOTR obviously wins. Unless someone's made a gingerbread Tatooine recently, in which case I stand corrected.
  • that person is insane and that is really cool!
  • O. M. G.
  • Sweet Tooth Fairy that's a lotta sugar! Wow!
  • I can't decide if the Grond or the tootsie pop catapults are more awesome!
