Space in Motion. Here is a selection of multi-year Hubble snapshots in animated gif form. I particularly like "HH 47".
  • Star spoogerotica!
  • This monkey says...Cool Beans!
  • Seeing the years fly as the dust clouds inch past by makes me realize how transitory our lives are.
  • Monkeyfilter: We're all going to die.
  • Pretty.
  • Oh, and Monkeyfilter: star spoogerotica!
  • Well, it looked like arcing ropes of star gism to me.
  • Do you have any idea how dangerous it is to jerk off a star?! THINK, MAN!!!
  • Isn't that how the Temporal Cold War started on Enterprise?
  • Well, they were trying to add more sexual tension to that series, so I suppose, yes.
  • And trust me, you only THINK you want a blow job from a black hole.
  • Do black holes swallow?
  • Seeing the years fly as the dust clouds inch past by makes me realize how transitory our lives are. actually these things are bigger than our solar system and moving at supersonic speeds(100to over 1000 km/sec), hardly 'inching' past, and are not composed of dust, but partially ionized plasma. Herbig-Haro objects are small-scale shock regions intimately associated with star forming regions, the water breaking heralding a newborn star. its truly groovy seeing these in motion...thanks agent p. i hope i live 100,000 years or more so i can see movies like this of galaxies rotating....
  • "i hope i live 100,000 years or more so..." Sorry, I can only give you 2,000.
  • Here's some amazing stuff, and you guys can barely get your minds offa whatz in your pants. Sheesh. What makes you think the universe cares about your orgasms.
  • Well, the universe begins with me. nyuk, nyuk.
