The Idler
A magazine that lives up to its name, even before you buy it.
The Rolo Kebab: 1. Insert skewer through the centre of an entire pack 2. Remove wrapper 3. Serve.

This is a great magazine. I used to buy it from Amazon a couple of years back. 'Magazine' is a bit of a misnomer, as it is actually a paperback book that comes out every 6 months, packed with all sorts - music, literature, criticism, social commentary, you name it. Great writing, great artwork, great 'bog book' (toilet reading). They had a couple of spin-off books like 'Crap Towns', based on reader contributions to the website (my entry about Peterborough has gone!), and 'Crap Jobs' (here's mine). They have great issue launch parties, and used to have Bill Drummond writing for them. 'Nuff said.

Hmm, need to remember not to have the Idler home page on my work computer when I pop out for a minute...
