Best of the Web The moral of the story?

Don't fuck with AskMe.

  • Ebay scammers are filthy scum. But it's reassuring how online communities can provide help to the scammed. Reminded me of this fiasco at pirate4x4.com.
  • Skrik called it. The MeFi crowd is not to be fucked with.
  • It's really cool that the folks on AskMe pay attention to such things. Kudos to them for exposing this scammer for what he is. By the way, I have this laptop I'm willing to let go of, cheap!
  • *golf clap
  • /note to self: next time, post via Anonymous, George
  • That's fifty kinds of awesome. *googles self*
  • That's a classic, un-.
  • For once, I am delighted to see a MeFi thread posted here. That's awesomeness in a bucket. With fries.
  • yeah. The moral of this story is, if you're assholes to everyone for a million threads in a row, eventually you'll find someone who deserves it.
  • This is rad. However, for sheer style it doesn't top the p-p-p-powerbook sting orchestrated at SA.
  • I'm confident that "m5biemer" will come back and say that he was refunded the money. Hey, I guess airnxtz isn't so bad after all!
  • Just goes to show that whatever you think about the Blue Green, when they're firing on all cylinders they're bad-as-they-wanna-be. Thanks for the link Skrik, that was fun!
  • Awesome. I love seeing the MefiDetectives get their groove on like that. Poor bastard didn't even know what hit him, did he?
  • I really liked this. I'd love to know the outcome after it's all over.
  • That made my day! Thanks, Skrik.
