Curious George: another webhosting question
I searched the other threads, but none of them quite addressed my isssue. I work for a small nonprofit in the midst of a growth spurt and we desperately need to change our web/e-mail hosting service. Currently we're using Readyhosting, which has crappy customer service and the e-mail server frequently goes down, as they don't seem to have any backup servers.
We need a large amount of space and pretty high bandwidth, as we're going to have photos and media on the site. Also, any possibilities of outsourcing most of the site would be good (as I'm the current IT department, among other things). Finally, as we are a smallish nonprofit, we're on a VERY tight budget, so money is a big factor.

I'm using Site5. It came down to them and Dreamhost, and Site5 was offering a better deal for what I was looking for. Their service and support has been excellent. Double votes don't count, you cheaters.

Also check Lunerpages I've got both my personal site and non-profit site there...service is good, price is excellent...

I've been hosting all my sites lately with bmhost, and I've been happy with them so far. They use and support a full set of open source solutions, their prices are good ($120/year for 500MB), and their support responsiveness is better than any other hosting provider I've dealt with before. Having set up sites for small businesses and non-profits myself, I know your pain. Having all your management tools in one place is really helpful. Bmhost uses Cpanel, a pretty solid admin tool that lets you manage all your own site needs (email, databases, add-on packages, etc.). Good luck!
