The coolest Firefox extension EVAR.
"Downloaded Embeded 0.1" Allows you to download embeded video and audio from teh intarwebs. (Thank you LifeHacker)
By the way... What are your favourite firefox extensions folks?

web developer toolbar

Cool; I've found the GreaseMonkey unembed script to be less than satisfactory, so thanks! I use DictionarySearch, FoxyTunes, MeasureIt, ColorZilla, Adblock Plus, ImageShack Upload, QuickNote, Bookmarks Home, to name but a few.
-
Does this do anything that going through page info doesn't do? WIll it download realvideo or other streaming media? If so, that would rock.
-
There are programs you can use to download streaming media. I use mplayer on Linux. Noscript is a nice extension, allows you to configure which sites can execute Javascript.
-
Awesome... so sick of looking at page sources from some asshat webmaster
-
un- I use streambox and other programs, but it would be cooler if you could just rightclick to download them instead of using those programs.
-
I find this one invaluable
-
BugMeNot, definitely - I loathe websites where a "Totally-Free-No-Risk-We-Won't-Sell-Your-Email-We-Promise" registration is required before you can access any content. Now instead of filling in "Bob Loblaw", [email protected], zipcode 90210, etc. for all my information, I can simply right-click and choose "Bugmenot".

Fasterfox, Forecastfox , PDF Download, Make Link - a very useful one, that one, Dict.
-
Media Player Connectivity version 0.4.9.2, available from the official extensions website, works on 0.9-1.6a, plays embedded and streaming video, directly linked as well as from javascript.

Same question here: does this extension download streaming media ? If not, how different is it from the very useful downlad them all ? (no snark! I'm genuinely interested.) I also use external programs to record streaming media but an extension would be great. I also use Mouse gestures, Sage (rss reader), TinyURL creator, Foxylicious (integrate your del.ico.us bookmarks into your firefox bookmarks), SearchPluginHack (to remove search engine I don't use), bookmark backup (creates a backup of bookmarks.html each time the browser is closed).

Some of these are great. The only extension I had installed was IE View which comes in handy. I was also quite pleased to find you could just go into the extensions folder and delete all the icons for the spam search engines to get rid of them in your search bar.
-
You have spam search engines in your search bar?? Oy vey!
-
Oh, and Adblock is the reason I'm still on the Internets. Without it, I'd go hide in a little cardboard box.
-
I find This to be the way to rock Adblock. But then I'm very lazy.
-
Proxybutton saves me a lot of frustration - since I'm a grad student, I need to use the college proxy when I want access to any academic resource, and I need to use it a lot, but then I need to turn it off for generic websurfing. I also love Foxclocks, now that it works again.
-
The only thing I use regularly, no matter how many extensions I have (such pretty hair) is the all-in-one mouse gestures.

Viamatic FoXpose seems pretty cool, if you're using 1.5
