Yup, seen all kinds of "Go Democrats" posts all over the place. People still don't understand that the two parties are the Flexible Moderate Scam Party Flight A and the Flexible Moderate Scam Party Flight B. 100% of them (with the possible exception of Ron Paul) were grandstanding after 11 September 2001. There was an astonishing majority support in Congress for taking a slap at -somebody- in the aftermath of the WTC's destruction, and now roughly half of them are saying "wasn't -my- knee that jerked".
Although Harry Reid is to be praised for trying to get at the facts, he's probably doing it from base motives considering he's a politician.
jet_silver's right. Reid's saying this now because it finally makes political sense to do so, what with the way Bush's approval ratings have been tanking.
Can any of the Congressional Dems actually have believed the Bushies when they were making their case for the Iraq war? It seemed so obvious to so many of us what was really happening at the time.

I agree, jet_silver; the two party systems does suck... BUT under Clinton life was allot easier and the economy wasn't shit. I would LOVE to see a truly socialist party in power, but that isn't going to happen with all the fundies around. We have to rally behind "anyone but Bush" until he's gone. We get some breathing room and saddle up for a tough ride.

Can anyone confirm whether "Reid's statement" is authentic? I'm only finding it a few, not-terribly-reputable sites. It's incredibly scathing, if it's for real; I can hardly believe Reid would actually this.
