Just what I always wanted!
They must have a more advanced version for use on GW Bush, but it's sure nifty just the same!!

Nifty and absolutely horrifying. I'd be really curious to try it, but at the same time I want nothing to do with it. I don't like the out-of-control feeling that Nyquil gives me - this would drive me insane.

scary!

I started to get nauseous just reading that! Sure, it seems like a "good" idea for video game technology, but why do I get the feeling that this thing could end up being used in places such as, say gitmo for example?? Quick, someone fetch the smelling salts!

It sounds as if it's just confusing your inner ear, which is sending signals about your position all the time that adjust to to stay balanced. So you're effectively just starting to stumble and readjusting. Somehow that seems slightly different from out and out control of your movement, but I'm a) probably wrong and b) maybe just splitting hairs.

I wonder if the brain would eventually adapt and cancel out the effect? Most folks, when they first get bifocals, do this step weird thing because they haven't adapted to using them yet. Once you do adapt, you can't ever replicate that fantastic drunken feeling. Unless, of course, you are drunk.
