WriAShorStorWe! "defective yeti is proud to announce WriAShorStorWe: "The NaNoWriMo For Lazy Peopleā„¢!" Yes kids, October 31-November 4 is the blogosphere's first annual Write A Short Story Week! Here's how it works: ummm, you write a short story. In a week. The End."
  • I am so down for that. It'll be a great way to get my memoirs finally written.
  • I'm up for a limerick.
  • I'm sideways for a profile.
  • Sweet, something my attention span can han...Ooh, shiny!
  • This is a lot better. I'd much rather see people churn out short stories than (bleh) crappy novels.
  • It was a dark and stormy night....
  • I've tried that, on my own; it's much harder than it sounds. I wasn't able to do it. You're assuming that the stories would be good just because they're short, which isn't the case. Some short stories are just a brief duration of grinding pain or soul-killing tedium. :)
  • The only thing I'm assuming is that committing for a week is easier than committing for a month, which, in my case, it is. I'm in, but I'm fully aware that the stories will be nothing other than rough drafts.
  • I propose an even more workshy alternative. Why yes, that is a self-link.
