self-referential aptitude test
(with a unique solution)
My brain just filed for divorce from my body. [this is good]
I may have to return to it when I have a few
Perfect for a Friday before a long weekend...
I agree with: flashboy BearGuy Jerry Garcia swive All of the above
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH They should put this on the LSAT.
Ok first person to sllve this is my hero.
Hmmm can't even type that hurt my brain so much.
From the FAQ:
q: what's this about? a: pageviews. q: how can I contribute? a: click.
I've been had.
That was totally awesome. Also, I am your hero:
(Swap puctuation for letters, in an alphanumeric sort of way, to get the solution.)
$!$@ %$$% $!@! $@!$ @!@%
Only one of those characters looks remotely like one of the five letters. What ! or $ or % are supposed to be, I'm not sure.
Please, please, please tell me WTF it means.
I'm still getting a few wrong jsor - though so close. (plus with my brit keyboard, it took a bit to decipher).
whoo! got it (helped very much by jsor, thank you). 9 - 12 is
Sorry about the US-keyboard centricity. I should have thought about that. For the British (I think):
$!$" %$$% $!"! $"!$ "!"%
I think you are wrong about 9 - 12, ilyadeux. Judging from the whoo!, though, it seems like a transcription error, or misreading, since you must have had the correct answer in the quiz.
I'm still no closer to understanding what $ and % are supposed to be.
Got a shift key there, mct? Don't use it. (Guessing.)
Never mind. Figgerditout.
Hooray! I solved it! oh, someone's handing out the answer already. Oh well.
jsor's solution works fine. Awesome.
I concur, got the same answer as jsor... for those still scratching their heads: !=1=a @=2=b #=3=c $=4=d %=5=e (numbers are not important, but included so that the non-US keyboarders can stop wondering what the hell we're talking about)
Oy. I think more than a couple brain cells died.
Hehe, this drunkman is a good friend of mine. Unfortunately I emigrated and now I only see him once a year... [brag] But I do have a drunkmanworkhere zero content T-shirt. One of the 6 or so in existance. Aren't you all jealous now? [/brag]
Aw, crappity crap crap. I started the puzzle, did something else for a while, and now I just get a blank screen when I click the link. What gives? Is it all just a plan to make me lose my marbles?
All the puzzle seem to be "down" over there.
i think the punchline/point is in the last question: 20. Standardized test is to intelligence as barometer is to: Atemperature (only) Bwind-velocity (only) Clatitude (only) Dlongitude (only) Eall of the above barometer measures atmospheric pressure, not any of A-D, so the answer would be E, implying that standardized tests have no relation to intelligence and there you have it.
I always try to maintain a healthy Clatitude and Bwind-velocity, myself. Yes, #20 was the one self-obvious answer.
