One day, our hero was registering with a website. He can't remember, or is unwilling to reveal, which. When deciding on a username, he sought and searched and seeked, and eventually, looking down at his tshirt, he saw the word 'mute', for 'twas a Mute Records tshirt. Then he looked lower, and saw that he was a 'boy'.
