Bio:
I was born the son of a coal miner in Kansas. We were poorer than most coal miners, mostly because there is really not any coal in Kansas. My parents met in the mines in West Virginia when they were very young and thought they would strike out on their own and make it rick by opening their own mine. It really was a beautiful mine, but it had no coal. The good part about that, of course, was that despite living almost the entirety of my first fourteen years in a mine, I did not have black lung disease.
My parents split when I was fourteen. My dad was leaving the mine, so I went with him to Houston. I stayed there until I was 23. When I was 29, I found out that my mother had died. I also found out that she was a millionaire. Apparently, there was oil in the coal mine where she lived. I was left out of the will because I had left the mine.
I worked as a paper carrier's assistant from the age of 23 up until last year. The life was glamorous, but there was a definitely a trade-off. I ironically contracted black lung disease last year, but from ink and not coal. I live in a home in Arizona where the air is better. I am by far the youngest who lives here, but I do enjoy it.
